Catholic Social Ministries Food Pantry

Catholic Social Ministries Food Pantry is one of the largest food pantries in Southeast Missouri, serving approximately 1,800 individuals from 640 families in Cape Girardeau County each month. Founded in 2006 by Sister Lucille Zerr as an outreach ministry of St. Mary Cathedral and Old St. Vincent’s Church, the pantry operates from its location at 141 S. Frederick Street, providing food assistance on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., except during the last full week of each month. The nonprofit organization is staffed by 40-60 volunteers and sources food from the Southeast Missouri Food Bank, local grocery stores, food drives, and private donations.
