55 & GO Volunteer Program/ Threads Thrift Store/ Joy Toys

55 & GO is a volunteer program providing opportunities for persons age 55+ in Chillicothe, Missouri, located at 304 Clay Street on the corner of Clay and Martin Streets. The program began in September 1973 and is sponsored by Concerned Citizens for the Community, Inc., a nonprofit organization, and offers volunteer opportunities in meal delivery, education support, tax tutoring, veteran support, and operates the THREADS Thrift Store and JOY TOYS. 55 & GO volunteers serve without pay on community assignments at museums, hospitals, libraries, senior centers, social service agencies, nursing homes, and schools throughout the area.
