CMCA Services and Assistance

Central Missouri Community Action (CMCA), founded in 1964, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered at 800 N. Providence Road in Columbia, Missouri. CMCA provides comprehensive services to empower low and moderate-income individuals and families across eight counties of mid-Missouri, including energy assistance programs, housing support, job training, financial literacy, weatherization programs, and Head Start services. With a mission to build relationships and strengthen community resilience, CMCA serves more than 9,000 families annually through its Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and operates as part of a national network of community action agencies dedicated to helping families achieve self-reliance.
