Columbia Farmers Market
About
Columbia Farmers Market is a year-round, producer-only farmers market established in 1980 that has grown to become one of the nation’s premier markets for locally grown produce, meats, eggs, cheeses, honey, flowers, and artisan goods in mid-Missouri. Located under the MU Health Care Pavilion at Columbia’s Agriculture Park (1769 West Ash Street), the market operates Saturdays year-round with extended Wednesday hours during peak season, and accepts SNAP and WIC payments while offering matching benefits to increase accessibility for all community members. The market was founded by farmers selling from pickup trucks who partnered with the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and other local organizations to create a dedicated marketplace, and it continues to support sustainable agriculture and strengthen connections between local food producers and consumers through education, events, and live music.
