Services for Independent Living

Services for Independent Living (SIL) is a nonprofit Center for Independent Living serving Columbia and Mid-Missouri that empowers people with disabilities, seniors, and veterans to maximize their independence in the community. Located at 1905 W Ash Street in Columbia, SIL offers core services including advocacy, independent living skills training, information and referral, peer support, and transition services, along with signature programs like accessible transportation, aging in place support, consumer directed services, and durable medical equipment recycling. As one of 21 Centers for Independent Living in Missouri, SIL operates as a consumer-controlled, community-based organization with a mission to promote self-determination and eliminate barriers to independence.
