Texas County Food Pantry – Food Distribution Center

The Texas County Food Pantry Inc., located at 102-A East State Route 17 in Houston, Missouri, is a nonprofit organization established in 1990 that provides food, clothing, household goods, and emergency assistance to families and individuals in need across Texas County. The organization distributes supplemental food to over 1,700 people monthly and serves as the Texas County Salvation Army Service Unit, offering support to the homeless, veterans, and domestic violence victims. With its roots in the consolidation of church pantries recognized by local ministerial alliances, the food pantry has grown to include a thrift store and has expanded its services through facility improvements funded by a 2006 USDA Rural Development grant.
