Northern Boulevard UMC

Northern Boulevard United Methodist Church is an LGBTQ+ affirming congregation located at 1800 South Northern Boulevard in Independence, Missouri, founded in 1900. The church serves the Independence community through weekly worship services, Sunday school, small groups, and community outreach programs including partnerships with local charities like Spofford Home for Children and Grand Avenue Temple, as well as participation in the Stone Church Neighborhood Dinner. Northern Boulevard UMC is a member of the Reconciling Ministries Network and emphasizes being “Open Minds. Open Doors. Open Hearts” to all people.
