Metro Lutheran Ministry

Metro Lutheran Ministry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit social service agency founded in 1971 that serves the poor and homeless across the Kansas City metropolitan area, including locations in Jackson and Clay Counties, Missouri, and Wyandotte County, Kansas. Based at 3031 Holmes Street in Kansas City, MO, the organization provides emergency assistance including food, housing support, utility and rent assistance, and employment programs to help families and individuals achieve stability and self-sufficiency. MLM is also recognized for pioneering community programs that have grown into independent nonprofits, such as Harvesters Community Food Network and Kansas City Community Gardens.
