Thrift World

Thrift World is a for-profit retail thrift store located at 137 North Belt Highway in Saint Joseph, Missouri, that promotes the recycling and reuse of used clothing, accessories, and household goods through partnerships with nonprofit organizations. The company, which began operations in 1996 in Omaha, Nebraska, opened its Saint Joseph location in February 2023 and has expanded to eight retail locations across three states. All donations made to the Saint Joseph store support the Gateway Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America, while Thrift World’s mission focuses on diverting waste from landfills, supporting nonprofit partners, and creating local jobs.
