Open Door Service Center, Inc., founded in 1972 by Reverend Marvin Albright, is a nonprofit organization serving Pettis County, Missouri from its main location at 111 W. 6th Street in Sedalia. The organization provides essential services including a drive-through food pantry serving approximately 3,500 families monthly, a soup kitchen offering hot meals seven days a week, emergency overnight lodging, utility payment assistance, and a thrift shop. Open Door demonstrates its commitment to the community through partnerships with local organizations and volunteers who help combat food insecurity and support residents facing hardship.
