Eden Village of The Gathering Tree, located at 2801 E Division Street in Springfield, is a nonprofit organization providing permanent supportive housing for the chronically homeless through its flagship tiny home community. Founded by the nonprofit The Gathering Tree, Eden Village opened in August 2018 as America’s first tiny home community designed specifically for the chronically disabled homeless, offering 30 small homes where residents pay $300 monthly for their permanent housing. The organization operates with strong community commitment, funded through donations and grants including a $300,501 Community Development Block Grant from the City of Springfield, and has expanded to develop additional Eden Village communities across the country.
