OACAC

Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) is a nonprofit agency in Springfield, Missouri that works to alleviate the causes and conditions of poverty in the Ozarks. Located at 215 S Barnes Ave, OACAC provides comprehensive services including housing assistance, emergency utility assistance (LIHEAP), Head Start early learning programs, family planning, case management, life skills classes, and Foster Grandparent volunteer opportunities across a ten-county service area. The organization operates neighborhood centers throughout Southwest Missouri and recently earned the state’s highest quality designation for its Head Start program.
