About
The Ferguson Community Empowerment Center, operated by The Salvation Army in partnership with the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, is located at 9420 W. Florissant Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri. Founded in 2017 in response to the racial inequity and distress experienced in Ferguson, the center stands on the site of the QuikTrip that was burned down during civil unrest and serves as a symbol of community healing and restoration. The center provides comprehensive services including emergency financial assistance, the Spark Academy youth development program, employment services through the Save Our Sons initiative, and community health programs aimed at addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
