The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in St. Louis is a Catholic lay organization serving the Greater St. Louis area for more than 180 years, operating over 140 parish-based food pantries and other assistance programs across 13 counties. The organization provides emergency assistance including food, shelter, utilities, clothing, and household goods to neighbors in need through compassionate face-to-face service rather than transactional handouts. With more than 2,900 trained volunteers and a network of thrift stores that fund critical community programs, St. Vincent de Paul remains one of the oldest and most respected charitable organizations in the St. Louis region.
