University City Recycling Center

University City Recycling Center is a 24-hour outdoor recycling drop-off facility operated by the City of University City, located at the north rear parking lot of Heman Park Community Center at 975 Pennsylvania Avenue. As a municipal service, the center accepts recyclables and complements the city’s comprehensive waste management program, which includes curbside pickup for residents and businesses. University City has a distinguished environmental legacy, having pioneered the nation’s first curbside recycling program in 1974 and later implementing one of the state’s first single-stream recycling programs in 2008.
