The organization operates a state-of-the-art walk-in freezer—the first of its kind in rural America—with a capacity to store a truckload of frozen meat, and extends its services to assist food pantries within a 100-mile radius through partnerships with organizations like Food Bank for the Heartland. Simon House offers families at least two boxes and two bags of groceries along with paper products, relying on donations from local stores like Hy-Vee, Super Saver, and Walmart, as well as local churches, charities, and residents.
