Friedensau

Trinity Lutheran Church, operating under the trade name Friedensau, is a historic Lutheran congregation located northwest of Hebron, Nebraska near the Little Blue River. Established in 1874 by Lutheran missionary pastor John J. Kern, the church was rebuilt in 1899 after the original village of Friedensau (“Peaceful Meadow”) was relocated when the railroad was routed through nearby Deshler. Today, Trinity Lutheran Church continues to serve the community with regular worship services and serves as a “mother church” to area congregations.
