Lexington Mobile Pantry – Dawson County Fair Grounds

The Lexington Mobile Pantry is a partnership between Crossroads Mission Avenue and Food Bank for the Heartland that provides free food distribution to residents of Lexington and surrounding Dawson County communities. Since beginning operations in July 2022, the program has grown to serve thousands of households annually, with over 19,000 individuals receiving food boxes in 2024, addressing what has been identified as Nebraska's largest food desert. The mobile pantry delivers approximately 15,000 pounds of perishable and shelf-stable food per distribution, offering fresh produce, community packs, and baked goods to families facing food insecurity at no cost.
