Gathering Place

The Gathering Place is a nonprofit soup kitchen program of Community Action Partnership in Lincoln, Nebraska that serves over 55,000 hot meals annually to individuals facing hunger, including those who are homeless or food-insecure. Founded in 1982 by six local residents with a vision to create a welcoming space for vulnerable populations, the organization operates from 1448 E Street and serves evening meals seven days a week. The program relies on the dedication of over 500 volunteers annually and continues its mission rooted in hospitality and community care.
