People’s City Mission

Founded in 1907 by local churches, People’s City Mission is a nonprofit organization located at 110 Q Street in Lincoln, Nebraska that serves as the city’s primary homeless shelter. The organization provides emergency and transitional housing to men, women, and families, along with supportive services including three daily meals, free medical care through its clinic opened in 2009, a Help Center offering free household items and clothing to low-income families, and youth programs. On average, the Mission houses 350 people daily and has helped nearly 30,000 individuals through its combined services.
