Food Bank for the Heartland

Founded in 1981, Food Bank for the Heartland is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Omaha that distributes nutritious food to more than 500 network partners across 93 counties in Nebraska and western Iowa, serving children, families, seniors, and veterans facing food insecurity. The organization works with individuals, businesses, manufacturers, and government agencies to collect and redistribute food, and operates its own community programs to help break the cycle of hunger in the region.
