San Andres Lutheran Pantry

Iglesia Luterana San Andrés operates one of Nebraska's largest food pantries in partnership with the Foodbank for the Heartland, serving the south Omaha community. Established during the COVID-19 pandemic to assist church members, the pantry has grown to serve nearly 500 families per month and has expanded to support all community members regardless of background. The bilingual program is operated by volunteers and leadership fluent in both English and Spanish, reflecting the congregation's commitment to serving the immigrant Latino/Latinx population of south Omaha.
