Society Of St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry

Society of St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, located at 2101 Leavenworth Avenue in Omaha, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit food assistance program founded in 1868 as part of a global Catholic organization. The pantry operates as a free “choice” food pantry offering non-perishable items, fresh produce, frozen food, bread, dairy, and proteins to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity, with volunteer Companions assisting clients in selecting the groceries they need. Open to anyone on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the organization also operates thrift stores and provides additional community services including emergency rent assistance and support for individuals experiencing homelessness through Holy Family Ministries.
