United Way of Western Nebraska

Founded in 1945 as the Scottsbluff Community Chest, United Way of Western Nebraska is a nonprofit organization headquartered at 1517 Broadway, Suite 106 in Scottsbluff that unites people and resources across the Nebraska Panhandle to build a stronger, healthier, and more compassionate community. The organization raises funds through annual campaigns and distributes grants to 23 partner nonprofit agencies addressing critical community needs including homelessness, food insecurity, and youth services. Beyond fundraising, United Way of Western Nebraska actively engages the community through initiatives like the annual Day of Caring meal packaging event, school supply drives, mobile food pantries, and homelessness prevention programs.
