About
The Seward Civic Center is a nonprofit event space in Seward, Nebraska, located at 616 Bradford Street, that brings people together for meetings, events, and celebrations while serving as home to the Seward County Chamber and Economic Development. Founded in 1955 through the generosity of philanthropist Jessie Langworthy, who left funds for the center to be built on her childhood homestead, the facility has been sustained by the Langworthy Trust, which has provided over $7.5 million in funding from 1954 to 2024. The center supports diverse community involvement by serving as a gathering place for civic organizations, educational and religious groups, the Women’s Club, and local artistic displays.
