Carson Valley Community Food Closet

The Carson Valley Community Food Closet is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving Douglas County residents since 1989. Located in Gardnerville, Nevada, the organization provides supplemental food assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity through a voucher-based system that gives clients access to a wide selection of food items. The Food Closet partners with the Food Bank of Northern Nevada and Feeding America to supplement locally donated items, while also collaborating with community residents, service groups, churches, and businesses to support its mission of reducing hunger and fostering community dignity and hope.
