Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe — Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)

The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe Food Distribution Program administers the USDA Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) and operates a comprehensive food distribution facility serving eligible households within the Pyramid Lake Tribal Reservation and surrounding communities. The program houses multiple food streams including a tribal food pantry, USDA commodities, and emergency groceries for individuals who may not qualify for other assistance programs. Established as one of the first Indian Tribal Organizations to directly administer FDPIR, the program began operations in 2022 with the mission of providing nutritional support and food security to tribal and non-tribal residents throughout the service area.
