St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church Food Pantry

St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Food Pantry is a volunteer-run food pantry offering free groceries to neighbors in need in Downtown Jersey City. The pantry serves over 400 families each week, with food sourced through community donations and local partners, and is affiliated with St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, a member of the New Jersey Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Beyond the food pantry, the church provides additional community ministries including a free hot breakfast, monthly social dinners, and an annual Christmas community meal.
