About

The Albany Free School Fridge is part of Free Food Fridge Albany, a grassroots initiative founded by Jammella Anderson in 2020 to combat food insecurity in marginalized neighborhoods throughout the Capital Region. The refrigerator, located at the Albany Free School, is stocked with fresh produce, frozen fruits, yogurts, breads, and packaged meals through donations from Honest Weight Food Co-op and other local restaurants and farmers, and is available 24/7 to anyone in need.
