Astoria Food Pantry

Astoria Food Pantry is a nonprofit mutual aid organization founded in March 2020 that distributes groceries, clothing, diapers, books, and other essentials to residents of Astoria, Queens. Operating as a community-run initiative that relies on individual donations rather than government funding, the pantry serves over 500 people weekly from its community center and through various neighborhood events. Beyond food distribution, the organization hosts community gatherings, art workshops, and provides space for local organizing efforts including the Astoria Tenant Union and Astoria Worker Project.
