CHOW – Community Hunger Outreach WareHouse

The Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW) is a nonprofit food pantry network serving Broome County that has been combating hunger in the region since its first pantry opened in 1976. CHOW operates a comprehensive system that distributes over $2 million worth of food annually to more than 30,000 people and 50+ agencies, including a mobile food pantry and a recovered food program that collects donations from local grocery stores. The organization is operated by the Broome County Council of Churches and also provides job training opportunities to promote self-sufficiency among those facing food insecurity.
