Community Food Shelf

Community Food Shelf is a nonprofit organization providing emergency and supplemental food assistance to residents of Elizabethtown and surrounding communities including Lewis, New Russia, Wadhams, Westport, Willsboro, and Essex. Located at the Church of the Good Shepherd parish hall, the food shelf works in collaboration with the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York and serves clients referred through Essex County Social Services, Families First, and local community action programs. In addition to regular food distribution, volunteers assemble and distribute seasonal baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas to area families in need.
