South Asian Food Pantry

The South Asian Council for Social Services (SACSS) operates the first culturally appropriate food pantry in Flushing, New York, providing South Asian staples, fresh produce, and spices to underserved individuals and families in the community. As a nonprofit organization founded in 2000, SACSS offers a client-choice model where individuals select their own groceries, and serves diverse immigrant populations in multiple languages, now reaching more than 2,270 families weekly with additional home delivery services for seniors and homebound residents.
