One Community Fresh Pantry – Fort Greene

One Community Fresh Pantry – Fort Greene is a nonprofit food assistance program serving residents of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill who need help accessing nutritious food. The program began in March 2020 as an emergency response during the COVID-19 pandemic and was formalized as Fresh Pantries in August 2021, offering weekly in-person grocery distributions where patrons can select fresh produce, dairy, and meats alongside pre-packaged staples. By 2022, Fresh Pantries was serving over 800 households weekly and has since expanded to multiple neighborhood locations operated by multilingual local volunteers.
