Hour Children Community Outreach and Food Pantry

Hour Children Community Outreach and Food Pantry is a nonprofit organization in Long Island City that operates a client-choice, supermarket-style food pantry serving low-income families from all five New York City boroughs. The pantry provides nutritious foods including fresh produce, meats, fish, beans, milk, and whole grains while allowing clients to select items that match their dietary and cultural preferences in a dignified and welcoming environment. Hour Children's broader mission extends beyond food assistance to serve incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and their families with comprehensive community support services.
