Yorkville Common Pantry
About
Yorkville Common Pantry, now known as New York Common Pantry, was founded in 1980 by a coalition of churches and synagogues in the Yorkville neighborhood to combat hunger in the Upper East Side. The organization has since expanded to become one of New York City's most comprehensive emergency food providers, serving all five boroughs with food packages, hot meals, and supportive services including case management, shower facilities, and nutrition education. Today it is a nonprofit dedicated to reducing hunger throughout New York City while promoting dignity and self-sufficiency.
