The Rudman Family Food Pantry at the Mid-Island Y JCC

The Rudman Family Food Pantry at the Mid-Island Y JCC provides perishable and non-perishable foods, toiletries, and household cleaning supplies to Long Islanders struggling with food insecurity and poverty, with a focus on homebound seniors and low-income families throughout Nassau and western Suffolk Counties. Operated by the Mid-Island Y Jewish Community Center in Plainview, the pantry has significantly expanded its community impact, delivering meals to over 400 families each week while also supporting 14 other agencies and pantries on Long Island through donated surplus items.
