The Sharing Shelf

The Sharing Shelf is Westchester's Clothing Bank for Children, a nonprofit founded in 2009 to combat clothing insecurity among low-income children and families in the region. Located in Port Chester, the organization collects new and gently used clothing for infants, children and teens, which is then distributed at no cost through local nonprofits, schools, hospitals and community groups. In addition to clothing, The Sharing Shelf also provides essential basic needs including diapers, socks, underwear, hygiene products and period items, and has been recognized with multiple community awards for its impact.
