Tyre Food Pantry

The Tyre Food Pantry distributes food to residents in need within Seneca and Wayne counties. Founded approximately 30 years ago by a New York Chiropractic College student inspired by similar food pantry work, the pantry is run by a dedicated core group of volunteers who serve about 50-60 households monthly with items including peanut butter, canned goods, pasta, and cereal. Operating as a nonprofit through the Tyre Reformed Church, the pantry relies on support from Foodlink and the Cayuga-Seneca Community Action Program, supplemented by monetary donations that help provide fresh items like bread.
