Cape Hatteras Food Pantry at Buxton United Methodist Church

The Cape Hatteras Food Pantry at Buxton United Methodist Church is a community resource providing food assistance to residents of Hatteras Island. Now managed by the nonprofit Hatteras Island Meals, the pantry has a long history of service, having operated for over 34 years under the care of the Cape Hatteras United Methodist Men before transitioning to new management. The pantry works in partnership with Dare County Social Services and the Albemarle Food Bank, sourcing food through donations and local business partnerships, and serves to meet the critical nutritional needs of the community.
