Community Soup Kitchen
About
The Community Soup Kitchen of Goldsboro is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving nutritious meals to hungry individuals and families in Wayne County. Originally founded in 1980 as a ministry of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, the organization was renamed and relocated in 2003 to its current location at Temple Oheb Sholom, a historic Jewish temple, through collaborative efforts between the Jewish and Episcopal communities. The kitchen prepares approximately 36,000 meals annually to address food insecurity in the Goldsboro area.
