Foothills Food Hub Nebo Distribution

Foothills Food Hub is a project of the McDowell Local Food Advisory Council dedicated to improving food systems and accessibility in McDowell County and surrounding areas. The organization partners with over 80 local farmers and producers to distribute fresh, locally grown food through monthly drive-thru events, food pantries, and an online marketplace, supporting both community food security and local agriculture. Founded in 2018, Foothills Food Hub also operates special programs like "Produce for Peds," which provides fresh produce to a local pediatric clinic, and maintains facilities in Nebo featuring cold storage, a produce wash line, and a commercial kitchen available for farmers to use.
