UNC REX Food Pantry

The UNC REX Food Pantry supports patients and families struggling with access to healthy food through a partnership between UNC Health Rex, Food Lion, and the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. Opened in November 2018, the pantry provides patients screened by the hospital's care team with supplies of fresh produce, staple items, and healthy snacks sufficient to feed a family of four for several days, along with nutritional information and recipes to support recovery and ongoing health.
