Ashe County Sharing Center – Food Distribution Center

The Ashe County Sharing Center is a nonprofit food pantry that was established in 1983 to address hunger in Ashe County and continues to serve residents throughout the region. The organization operates as the main food pantry and has expanded to include multiple programs, including the Mountaineer Pantry mobile unit that brings food to outlying areas of the county. In 2011, the Sharing Center became a partner agency with Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina, strengthening its capacity to identify and address food insecurity throughout the community.
