Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC

Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina, founded in 1981 and opened in 1982, is a nonprofit food bank serving 18 counties across Northwest North Carolina. The organization distributes food rescued from donors and partners to nearly 500 on-the-ground partner agencies and programs, with special focus areas including childhood hunger, healthy food initiatives, culinary job training, and advocacy work. The food bank is a member of Feeding America and has earned a 4-star rating on Charity Navigator.
