Akron-Canton Food Bank

The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1982 to provide emergency food and essential items to hunger-relief programs across eight Northeast Ohio counties. Operating from its main campus in Akron and additional locations in Canton and Orrville, the Foodbank supplies food and resources to approximately 600 partner programs including food pantries, meal sites, shelters and community organizations. Recognized as Food Bank of the Year by Feeding America in 2012, the organization works to ensure families across Northeast Ohio have access to safe and nourishing food while offering additional support services such as legal aid, job readiness programs and health screenings.
