Community Food Initiatives (CFI) – Main Location

Community Food Initiatives (CFI) is a nonprofit membership-based social benefit organization founded in 1992 that works to ensure equitable access to healthy, local food throughout Southeast Ohio. Operating from its main location in Athens, CFI provides food distribution services alongside community gardens, school garden programs, and the Donation Station initiative, serving Athens County and surrounding regions including Morgan, Vinton, Washington, and Meigs counties. The organization addresses food insecurity and poverty in Appalachian Ohio through programs that build community resilience and promote wellness for people, planet, and local economies.
