House of Bread

House of Bread is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community kitchen located at 9 Orth Avenue in Dayton, Ohio, that has been serving the local community for over 40 years since its founding in 1982. The organization operates 365 days a year, serving free, hot, nutritious lunches daily from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to anyone in need, with no eligibility requirements or documentation necessary. House of Bread prevents hunger and builds community through its mission, operating with donated food prepared by staff and volunteers, and serves nearly 100,000 meals annually.
