Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard – Park Ave

The Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2012 to combat food insecurity in the Garrettsville area. The organization provides monthly food and hygiene product distribution to hundreds of families in Garrettsville, Freedom, Nelson, and parts of Hiram Township, partnering with the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank while relying heavily on community donations. Located in the Garrettsville YMCA building on Park Avenue since 2019, the NGCC serves the James A. Garfield school district with the mission to "shut the door on hunger" in the community.
