Nelsonville Food Cupboard

The Nelsonville Food Cupboard is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit food pantry founded in 1989 that serves residents of Athens County experiencing food insecurity. Run entirely by volunteers with a volunteer board of directors and funded through donations, the organization provides emergency food assistance to help individuals and families meet their basic nutritional needs. The cupboard has grown steadily since its inception to become one of the largest food pantries in Athens County, which has one of the highest poverty rates in Ohio.
